Most of you know our back story but for those who don't, just a brief history as we don't want to bore our (ahem) loyal followers!

For the past 25 years we've been SE Asian snowbirds. We spent our first five winters teaching English in Thailand followed by 20 years of importing lovely hand made items (mostly silver jewelry & silk scarves) which we sold at hospital fundraisers throughout the Northeast.  It was great fun while it lasted... but our little business was totally obliterated with the onset of covid. We, and all those near and dear to us survived however, and for that we're grateful.

Now it's time for a new adventure - a last hurrah so to speak.  We're becoming "Boomer Vagabonds"!  We've sold our house & most of our belongings & headed to SE Asia once again for the winter.  Beyond that - no plans!  It's exciting, liberating, a little bit terrifying & probably a touch crazzzy.  Leaving the confines of our comfortable little life in the beautiful mountains of Vermont where we've enjoyed an easy existence in a nice community with the best neighbors ever, might sound a little nuts.....but perhaps breaking out of our comfort zone will invite the universe to favor us with a whole lot of stimulating new encounters.  Plus, there is something cathartic about ditching home ownership, downsizing & getting rid of all that unnecessary "stuff" that somehow just accumulates - despite our never thinking of ourselves as pack rats.

Sally will pen the highs & lows of our new escapades in this blog.  Michael will capture the visuals as we cavort our way across new terrain....both literally & figuratively.

 

All comments, suggestions, questions & news from home will be more welcome than you can imagine.
